Karcius are from Montreal, Canada and were formed in 2001. They create a unique style of fusion with elements from Rock, Pop, African, Classical, Jazz and Ambiant music. The band released five albums to date and their latest one, "The Fold", has just been released some weeks ago and surely is their most powerful album to date and a contender for the best Prog Album of 2018.
The band's line-up is: Simon L'Espérance (guitars), Thomas Brodeur (drums), Sébastien Cloutier (keys), Sylvian Auclair (bass, vocals)
We are proud to have Karcius on board next year. The band will perform for the first time on the rock on Saturday, 20th July 2019 - so please welcome: Karcius!
German multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer and control freak Thomas Thielen is t. He has always been famous for his enigmatic existence in the studio - but now, after 19 years of claiming it was impossible to get t on stage, he's doing it!
t has always been a musician. He was classically educated and during school time his main interest shifted to guitar playing. Today he admits to being a strictly under-average musician with quite a few instruments none of which he is capable of playing properly.
t has always been interested in sound issues. His music has always been known for its combination or resonating melodies, avatgarde soundscaping and strangely natural sounding odd metres.
A new album is set for a 2019 release.
The live-band consits of Thomas Thielen (vocals, guitars, keyboards), Jan Steiger (guitars), Dominik Hüttermann (keyboards), Yenz Strutz (bass) and Thomas Nussbaum (drums).
t will perform for the first time on the rock on Saturday, 20th July 2019 - so please welcome: t!

IQ were formed in 1981 and are part of the Neo-Prog scene (along with Marillion, Pendragon and others). In the beginning, they were influenced by big prog bands like Yes and Genesis, but quickly developed their own style. IQ have released 10 studio albums to this date. The last one was "The Road Of Bones" from 2014. The band is currently working on their 11th album, due next spring. This Friday, a 25th anniversary edition of "EVER" will be released. The band's line-up has been more or less pretty constant throughout their history. Today's line-up consists of Peter Nicholls (vocals), Mike Holmes (guitars, keyboards), Paul Cook (drums), Tim Esau (bass), Neil Durant (keyboards).
Five years after their last performance at Night Of The Prog, the band will finally return to the Loreley in 2019! Please welcome on the rock: IQ
