RanestRane (that means “Strange Frogs”) is an Italian progressive rock band formed in Rome in 1998. The band writes progressive style music and concept albums inspired by art films such as “Nosferatu the Vampyre” by W. Herzog, “The Shining” and “2001: A Space Odyssey” by Stanley Kubrick. The “A Space Odyssey’s trilogy” features guest appearances from Steve Rothery and Steve Hogarth, guitarist and frontman of Marillion respectively.

They create a unique style of fusion with elements from Rock, Pop, African, Classical, Jazz and Ambiant music. Please welcome on Friday, 19th July: IQ were formed in 1981 and are part of the Neo-Prog scene (along with Marillion, Pendragon and others). In the beginning, they were influenced by big prog bands like Yes and Genesis, but quickly developed their own style.
