NOTP 2020 – Sunday, 19th July: BAROCK PROJECT confirmed!

The Barock Project was founded in 2003 and have the goal to mix classical music (mainly baroque), rock and also jazz, substained by a pop structure to renew the beloved Progressive Rock of 70s.

Head of project is the keyboarder Luca Zabbini, piano player and composer, affected by the passion for the famous keyboarder Keith Emerson (ELP). In the summer of 2004 Giambattista “GB” Giorgi, a young bass player who’s in love with sounds of rock and jazz, the drummer Giacomo Calabria and the solo voice of Luca Pancaldi joined to the band. 

They have released six critically acclaimed albums so far, and their third album “Coffee In Neukölln” (2012) was the first album they wrote in English language – resulting in a nomination for the Prog Awards.For their 2015 album “Skyline”, they also worked with Paul Whitehead, best known for his cover artwork of the early Genesis albums.  Their latest album was “Seven Seas”, released last year and it received great feeback from both, critics and fans.
